Did you know there are many thriving church plants and existing churches that are in desperate need of a church building? There is a shortage of good locations for new and thriving churches to meet. And the real estate market, especially here in Southern California, makes it virtually impossible for churches to purchase their own property. Pacific Church Network is looking for church buildings. We have planted many churches over the past years, and now many are in need of a permanent home as they grow. We can replant a church in your building that will impact your community with the gospel of Jesus. Don’t let your building become a funeral home or lawyer’s office or laundromat. Allow us to bring new life to your building for the glory of God. We have done it before and can do it again, but we need church buildings.

By law, non-profit organizations—which includes churches—upon dissolution cannot just sell everything and distribute the proceeds to the members. It doesn’t take long to figure out why! Virtually all of the money used to purchase the assets of churches have been given as charitable donations for which donors received tax benefits. The church property is usually primarily tax exempt. And much of the money given charitably to the organization will have been given by people who are no longer associated with the church. The principle is…no individual is allowed to “profit” from the sale of a non-profit!

So what happens to all the assets when a church disbands?  A church building, for instance, can be sold, but all the proceeds must be distributed to other non-profit organizations. Before you go through the hassle of selling, just donate the church building. By donating your church to Pacific Church Network, a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit network of churches, you will enable us to start a vibrant church in your building. The legacy that your congregation has built through many years of sacrifice will continue…and you will be a part of seeing this new church grow through the resource of your church. The purposes of the gospel will continue in your church’s previous location.
